Invite your tenant
Send an email invitation that links your tenant to their lease and opens their portal — included with every plan.
Step by step
- 1Open the property (or the Invite action) and enter your tenant's email.
- 2They receive an invitation link. It's valid for 7 days and works once.
- 3Sent it to the wrong address, or it expired? Re-inviting the same email replaces the previous pending invite, and a pending invite can be revoked at any time.
- 4When they accept, their account is linked to the lease, their tenant portal opens, and a message thread between you is started.
Good to know
If they already use RUMA as a tenant, they accept by confirming their existing password. An account that runs its own workspace (a landlord or manager) can't also be a tenant, and an account already renting elsewhere can't accept a second lease.
At your plan limit, an acceptance that would make a vacant unit billable is blocked until you upgrade or free a slot — see Plan limits.
