Protect your account with two-factor authentication
Add a second factor (an authenticator app) to your password, keep recovery codes safe, and manage signed-in devices.
Step by step
- 1Open Settings → Security and choose two-factor authentication.
- 2Confirm your password — security changes always re-check it.
- 3Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (TOTP) and enter the 6-digit code to switch it on.
- 4Save the 10 recovery codes somewhere safe — they're shown only once, and each code works once.
- 5From then on, sign-in asks for a code from your app after the password.
Good to know
Lost the device? Sign in with a recovery code, then regenerate a fresh set in Settings — regenerating invalidates all old codes.
Settings also lists your signed-in devices. You can sign any of them out remotely, and changing your password signs out every other session.
